Meet Our Founder
The seed for Mend was sown long before its formal inception. My interest in traditional arts & culture drew me to all the creative corners of my home city, Delhi. The Crafts Museum, Delhi Haat, Dastkar and regional emporiums in CP became my favourite spots to hang out during college. I spent a good part of my growing years dressed in the brightest of kolhapuri chappals and simple jeans-kurta!
The simplicity of the kolhapuris stuck with me and before I knew it, I was reaching out to craftsmen across India to design my own unique pair. A blend of bold colours and distinct textures, paying homage to Indian traditions with a much-needed twist of comfort and functionality defined my favourite pair. As I recognized this huge gap in the market, I knew I could make people fall in love with kohlapuris all over again! With Mend, I bring all of them together, in my own unique way.
